I paint in New England and on trips to the Southwest, especially New Mexico, Arizona, and Colorado. I particularly enjoy landscape painting outdoors. I have a strong connection to the landscape of northern New Mexico, the location of many outings and backpacking trips of my youth. My connection to the diverse landscape of New England -- from Cape Ann to the White Mountains -- is more recent and still growing. I am pleased when my paintings can capture something of the light and color of a moment in the natural world.

Based in Bradford/Haverhill, Massachusetts, I have taken my painting hobby fairly seriously, studying with Copley Society Artists, Beverly Mitchell and Jack Jones and taking classes at the New Hampshire Institute of Art with Stan Moeller, Stuart Ober, Jenny Page, and Lori Shorin. I have attended workshops by nationally known and regional artists including Frank LaLumia, Charles Sovek, Lois Griffel, Caleb Stone, and David Schwindt. I participate in several local art associations, including the Greater Haverhill Art Association, Manchester Art Association, Newburyport Art Association, Rockport Art Association, and NH Plein Air.
